Almost Famous? Hardly...More Like Totally An Ass
God I sound like such a fucking lush.
Ms. Maddan contacted me about an article on d-railing. I had no idea what d-railing was since I usually just call it making an ass out of myself. Believe it or not, I was hesitant at first to participate. Finally, after talking to some people, I thought "Why not?"
After exchanging several emails, Ms. Maddan and I finally spoke for about an hour. As you probably know by now if you have read me for very long, my mouth got the best of me. I did reveal where I lived. Later, realizing what I had done I did ask her not to use the information. That didn't quite work out for me now did it? So now you know where I live. Shh, don't tell anyone.
Also if you are a long time reader you probably realize the sake and appletini night was not the same as DrunkFest 2005 but that's neither here nor there. (I speak very fast so it's no wonder Ms. Maddan might have gotten confused.) I did email people while I was intoxicated on both nights. I just don't want the wrong facts being out there. God knows I don't want people to get the times I make an ass out of myself mixed up since there seems to be so many.
I do appreciate the link to the blog Ms. Maddan provided. I also appreciate her asking me to participate. If you are here because of the link in her article welcome to my little section of hell. Check out the "Get To Know Lola" section on the sidebar. It explains a whole hell of a lot. Feel free to stick around for a while. I also adore comments. If you are a long time reader, thanks for being here.
I'm going to the beach. See you in 2006!
UPDATE
It was suggested to me that I provide links to posts that led Ms. Maddan to believe I was worthy of an interview about d-railing.

yes, I read the article in the SF Chronicle! =)
Hope you enjoyed your time here.

Lola - Wow, this is so cool! I was just randomly surfing the Chron's site (my local paper, as it happens) before xMas dinner and clicked on that article and there you were. You're famous! Can I tell people that I knew you when??? :) Merry xMas, Happy Holidays and all the rest... hope you are having a wonderful time at the beach...
Thanks CLC. Crazy isn't it? The beach is lovely. Hope your holidays are wonderful!

Wow you got issues.
Dude, did you read the title of my blog? It's called "I Think There May Be Something Seriously Wrong With Me" in case you missed that big banner at the top.

that is way too funny...you do come out sounding kinda bad though...good thing we know the truth about you...

I sound bad because of the drinking or the whole thing makes me sound bad?

"Wow you got issues"
Maybe you should make "I got issues" your new banner, so as to be more easily understood. I mean, the current one has all those long words.
I was thinking the exact same thing.

I think fame should be wrought on whomever was the lucky chap to be a recipient of any of these escapades. I only wish he had a blog, too!
Cupcake, I wish the same damn thing.

LOL! Love it! Gotta admit, I'm guilty as well. I'm thinking of purchasing one of these www.fireflymobile.com - designed for kids, but should be marketed to drunks!!!
Oooo, I need one of those!

Love when I learn something new - d-railing! Perfection!! You're famous Lola...how cool!
It figures I would become "famous" for drunk emailing The Mommy and Mr. Macek.

Lola,
you're famous, darling.
My 15 minutes are almost up.

Weird. Two days after my very first experience with d-railing, I followed a link from obscurestore.com to the news article that linked to your blog here. I then spent the next two days reading all the back posts. Some posts made me laugh out loud ("yesterday was my birthday please stomp me" - that whole thing absolutely cracks me up); others nearly brought me to tears because they hit so close to home (like the post on lust in your sidebar, especially the last paragraph - EXACTLY).
I like your blog so much, I'm almost inspired to start my own blog. Except I know I'd never update it after the first couple of posts. Because I already tried that once. Maybe I'll just become a regular reader/commenter of your blog instead.
