Fried

I finished exams on Wednesday and I am fried.  I can barely walk and think at the same time much less put together a coherent blog post.  I apologize for the lack of good posts around here lately but this semester has kicked my ass.

I feel mentally spent.  I just want to curl up and sleep for 40 days but I know that's not possible.  I get exactly 11 days off and then I start summer school.  UGH!  What was I thinking?  I am taking two classes in summer school.  One is a three week course where I get to sit in a classroom for three hours a day and study a subject I don't like very much.  I'm pretty sure I was having some sort of break with reality when I registered for that class.  The other one, however, is an online class and it will be cake.

Speaking of cake, I have to go to a wedding at this place at the end of May.  Seriously.  I cannot imagine what the hell I am in for.

If you're going to Tuscaloosa, you need to go here for ribs:

Usually we go to Bob Gibson's when we are down that way but I will make sure we try out Dreamland. :)

I lived in AL for a year about 5 years ago and I still crave Dreamland. You won't be disappointed. Looking forward to trying Big Bob Gibson's at the Big Apple BBQ this year.

If you don't like vinegar based sauce then you won't like Bob Gibson's. I usually eat chicken when I go there because I am finicky about my sauce... ok I'm finicky about a lot of things. They make an excellent white sauce for their chicken. I grew up eating Bob Gibson's bbq and I'm not sure I've ever eaten at another bbq joint in Alabama. I told my mom we had a new bbq place to try and she was excited so thanks. :)

I went to a wedding reception in a combination dude ranch/old west movie set.

It was a hoot. Live a little.

Murph I assure you I do plenty of living and being at a hay/fish farm OUTSIDE in Alabama on May 31st does not seem like anything that I would consider to be remotely near being a hoot.

I think slumgullion is the last name of my cleaning lady

If you married me already you wouldn't need a cleaning lady. Oh wait... scratch that you would still need a cleaning lady and a cook.

Are you wearing camo?

No, but I am considering a mosquito net hat.

Wow - what an elegant and classy location for a wedding. Perhaps the bride could contact the producers of My Big Redneck Wedding so they can be on tv!

Well it's not like we are going to be sitting on hay bales or anything. (I asked.)
